Have picked up from other threads that there%26#39;s a water shortage on the island but that it doesn%26#39;t seem to have affected the east side. Anyone had any problems?

The general consensus seems to be that the hotels aren%26#39;t affected it%26#39;s just the private villas and homes but to be careful when you are there to try and conserve water, we go in 4 weeks and are not worried about it.

Hi
The water we were supposed to be getting from Greece hasn%26#39;t happened (they have cocked up again) so nothing has changed the Tourist areas still have water alas ours is cut so I beg of you come enjoy but please use water sparingly.

I think all tourists should be made aware of the situation and hopefully they will act sensibly. I%26#39;m sorry the locals are having to put up with cuts - that would annoy me intensely if I lived there.

Tourist areas still have water. Situation is now critical for some areas, no water from Greece, Kouris Dam will be empty by August 10th, what will happen then ?

In yesterday%26#39;s Sunday Mail it said that there is enough water for only three more weeks and that plans are in force for water to be sent over from Turkey and Greece.
It is a terrible situation to be in and I feel for those living in Cyprus having to put up with having water shortages.
