Hi ya,
Me and my boyfriend have just booked to go to the above hotel on the 27th September we booked with Olympic Holidays. Does anyone have any advise about going to Ayia Napa for the first time. Like how much money we should take for one week B%26amp;B? Any restaurants that are really good and shouldn%26#39;t be missed and some that are a total rip off. I went to Egypt this year and was very ill out their so don%26#39;t want the same happening this year.
thanks for helping :)

The Nestor is a lovely hotel and its in a great location. You are really close to the harbour and the main beach and just a short stroll to the bars. The main square is about a 10 min walk so you are close enough but not too close to the main nighlife. It will still be hot and still quite busy. Limelight taverna is lovely and is not too far, they have a website which you could look at. They serve suckling lamb %26amp; pig. And the chicken is great. You have got to go to one of the Japenese restaurants. There are 2 both owned by the same people, Sapporo and Hokkaido, or something like that!! They cook the food on a hot plate in front of you and do an amazing show. Book in advance though, your hotel can phone up and book it for or you can get a taxi to Hokkaido, pop in and book it then walk down the road which has all the main bars on and which brings you out at the square. Los Banditos mexican is great but again book in advance or be prepared to wait. Their strawberry margeritas are to die for. Other restaurants that are good are Blueberries and Sage. Just ask for directions. You have got to visit Nissi Beach and Macronissos Beach and definately go to the waterpark. Bedrock pub in the square is great and has a great atmosphere. The drinks in the square are expensive though. You will be better drinking in the many pubs leading up to the square 1st. In one week you wont fit it all in there is so much to see and do. This year is the 1st year Cyprus has used the Euro and so the prices may have gone up. All I can say is take as much money as possible. Its not cheap and there are so many things to do. Hope you have a great time and if you want any more info just ask

When i go to cyprus can i only use Euros as i have just looked at one restaurant website and it had the cost for the food in Sterling and Euros is it worth bringing some English with me. I normally holiday in turkey and i know that places do except the English money.

As far as I am aware its Euros only, it could be that the website was for comparision prices only

hi
you will find that they price in both euro and the old cyprus pound not to be mistaken with the pound sterling as sterling is worth a lot less. im just back and have found it more expensive than last year due to the poor serling/euro.
cheers

Would you be able to help me out roughly for prices and stuff of things i%26#39;m a bit worried about spending money. I normally take about £500 with me for a week (that would be each). Its me and my boyfriend going b%26amp;b we would probably have a light lunch and then go out for dinner at night nothing expensive just a normal place. We do like our nightlife though and would be drinking quite a bit at night. Would you recommend buying drink from duty free for our room to have a few drinks before going out. Or can we find some quite good offers in the bar out their. A lot of people are saying its really expensive and i%26#39;m not too sure if they are saying its very expensive for example going on holiday or is it expensive compared to England prices in a restaurant and drink.
