Riverside Holiday Village Kyrenia

I%26#39;m thinking of visiting here in September. Any opinions good or bad would be interesting. Never been to northern Cyprus before so a complete novice!

It is really nice.

I have been to Kyrenia 4 times and Famagusta also.

I went to the south last year, to allegedly the prettiest Barbour in the Mediterranean (Paphos), it has nothing on Kyrenia. Maybe 30 years ago it looked like Kyrenia, but no longer, too commercialised.

You can drive up to the pan handle (north east) in about 4 hours and stay in a hotel that is in the middle of nowhere and cheap as chips. Double room (basic I think is the word), dinner (fish caught an hour or two before eating), beer, breakfast for about £35 (2006 price, but it shouldn%26#39;t be much more).

In summary, go, its lovely.

The riverside is also pretty central from what I recall.

See www.cyprusparadise.co.uk

We have used them every time we have been and they are good.

The hotel depends on whether you have kids or not, if not the Ship inn is super and reasonably priced. Can%26#39;t help with the kids, as we have none.

The Riverside might be O.k. If you have children,Friends of ours stayed there a couple of years ago and found poolside drinks for the 3 kids very expensive(you were not allowed to drink your own around the pool)

We always stay at Almond Village in Alsancak in the same area as Riverside, please read reviews on this website for both place and decide for yourself.
