Silver Sands Hotel - Refurbishment?

Is anyone going to the Silver Sands Hotel before Sept 08?

We are going back there in Sept.We know about the building work I.E the shops next door to the hotel as this was going on in 2006 when we were here previously.

My friend stayed in Protaras in May %26amp; came back to tell me that it looked like the hotel is also being refurbished... Is this correct can anyone tell me or let me know what it was like??

Hi we going Silver Sands on aug 17th not been to this hotel before,will let you know .Any good bars ,restaurants to go to, would you let us know we both in our 50s like bit of enterTainment

You cant go wrong with going to the bar called Rockerfellas which is right opposite the Silver Sands Hotel, there is a good singer by the name of Jummy Spender whos been there for years but very good entertainment, also heard that there is a Robbie Williams look a like ho sings in there as well.

Also cant been for a bit of cheese the Friends Bar and the Only Fools %26amp; Horses Bar where they play repeats of the 2 shows back to back.

Rockafellas is my favourite, ive got to know them very well over the years, when we walk in the first drink is always on the house. We have had some brill nights there over the years.

Tassos is the small man behind the bar with the curly hair is wife is english. He opened a restaurant on the top road with another couple it was called Secret Garden but i dont think it worked out, so he returned to rockafellas the chef left and went to work with the formula one catering. He has a different footie shirt on every night.

Well I%26#39;ve finally had a letter from my Tour Operator advising us of the building work going on next to the Silver Sands Hotel.Its now stating that they are constructing further units and noise and visual disturbance may be experienced!They have offered me the chance to move to another hotel if I wanted

Angie (Angel52) I know your going to the Silver Sands in August have you had a letter yet and what are they saying to you?

And again to Denise(Wedco)I%26#39;m wondering if you can shed anymore light on how noisy etc the work is if you live anywhere near the area?

Still can%26#39;t wait to get back there though, Rockerfellas here we come..
