Well, here we go again. Our drinking water arrived from Greece as promised, but we could not off load it due to short pipes. Now we have the pipe, the water has gone off, so we have to dispose of it.
In the meantime, we struggle on, in Limassol we can survive another 3 weeks but then who knows.
Maybe our friends in Paphos may like to help out ?
As for tourists, you are still ok, next ship will soon be on it%26#39;s way..

I%26#39;d read about this but didn%26#39;t want to start a panic. If it weren%26#39;t so damned serious it would be funny - who is going to take responsibility for this cock up?

I heard about this yesterday on the radio, and had further discussion with a couple of older chaps in the coffee shop last night.
They were highly amused and could not stop making jokes. This is par for the course in Cyprus, but you just tend to get on with it, and maybe have a rye smile. Not to worry more on the way....

I%26#39;m surprised you didn%26#39;t know about this as Glenmorange posted this link from the Cyprus Mail to the Severe Water Shortage thread on 1st July http://www.cyprus-mail.com/news

I knew it was here, we are reminded every day, to thank our Greek friends. But I didn%26#39;t know it was off !
