Hi Pamber

We have been to Coral Bay 4 times now and have stayed in a Villa Just outside Coral Bay called Yiotis, was booked through James Villas and it is a lovely villa the only reason not going back this time was due to a problem with the owner last time we stayed, however it is a lovely villa (apart from the owners but this was prob just a one off), the do have lots in Coral Bay I know of one which is pretty special has 6 bedrooms and is called Villa Raphaella or something similar. We would have gone to this one this time as we were lucky enough to have alook around last time we were there, unfortunately it was already booked the time we are going. Villa Parade is who we are going with this year and if you look on there website they have lots of lovely looking villas.

Hope this helps

We recently stayed in villa Esmeralda near Coral Bay. Only 3 bedrooms so probably not for you but thought I would post a review anyway (I tried to do an accommodation review but it was rejected as villas can only be revied in Forums.....)

Title: A relaxing week in Cyprus

We’ve just returned from a very relaxing week staying in Villa Esmeralda near Coral Bay, Cyprus. The villa is in a peaceful and private spot on a very quiet road. The only sound to be heard comes from the nearby chickens! It was lovely to have our own pool, which is a good size and which the friendly owner keeps very clean. The villa itself is fairly basic but has everything you need for a restful getaway, including a dishwasher. There is air conditioning but this has to be paid for separately on a daily basis. One word of warning about the villa – if you hire a car (which you need to as you need to drive to get anywhere) watch out for the edge of the wall which is nearer the driveway than you think…

We didn’t think that Coral Bay really had much going for it but we really liked Polis which is a 35 minute drive away. In fact the best meal out we had during the week was at the Finikas Restaurant in Polis. It’s only a short drive from Polis to the Baths of Aphrodite which is worth a visit if just for the views from the Akamas Peninsula. Pafos is also good fun and we had a couple of good lunches with a sea view at the Pingouino CafĂ© Bar. The nearest and cheapest supermarket is Philippos Supermarket in Pegeia.

We booked through Thomson – a package including flights and car hire with Europcar. We were pleased with our hire car which came with air conditioning. But be ready for the ‘hidden extras’ – starting with the €70 ‘petrol fee’ when you pick the car up, which is justified on the basis that you return the car with an empty tank. I’m sure a tank of petrol costs less than €70 and of course you can never return it completely empty. Not sure whether that is standard practice in Cyprus. The other point to mention is that the insurance which is included in the package is far from fully comprehensive – unless you pay for upgraded insurance (on a daily basis) there is a list of parts that aren’t covered including the windscreen and tyres and the excess is €300, which hurts, believe me (hence the warning about the driveway above).

All in all a restful and enjoyable week away. Would recommend!
