Prescrition drugs allowed in cyprus?

Is it ok to take pain kllers (I take tylex). I am on tylex for back pain and they contain codeine which is a banned substance in some countries. I am going to Cyprus in a week and want to know if ok there?

I do not know the answer BUT - I too have back pain and NEVER travel anywhere without my pills - was in Cyprus for 2 weeks in June - no problems

Think Its places like Dubai that are strict

You can%26#39;t take codine into Greace i had to change to other meds when i went on holiday last year, don%26#39;t know about cypress though !!!!

Most of them yes, and in some cases you can buy over the counter in Cyprus at a fraction of the Uk prescription cost.

To be on the safe side, take your prescription with you, or a doctors note.

are you sure about not being able to take codeine into greece, my mother is coming on holiday with us ans she has about 6 different types of tablets to take with her, for various things, i thought if you took your prescription there was no probem.

Has anyone ever been asked or stopped re codeine - been taking it with us for years and question has never cropped up.

Hi,

I only recently found out about the codeine / Greece thing %26amp; also wondered if anyone had been stopped. I carry co-codamol, presecription strength, wherever I go %26amp; haven%26#39;t had a problem anywhere, incl flying to %26amp; from Rhodes (1)Paphos (2) so would be interested in comments.

Regards
