Hi,

I am going to Nissi Beach Hotel in 4wks time. We stayed in Protaras in oct last year and spent quite a bit of time at Nissi. Beach is amazing and clean and little fish swim about your feet. Water is warm and plenty places to snack of have a sit down meal. Beach is clean and my understanding is they have a bit of beach for residents and we should pay less but will certainly check when I am over. The beach has water sports at the little island bit you walk over to via the water which is shallow enough.

The Hotel is lovely and the gardens a truly beautiful so hope you enjoy yourself.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Good to hear and you will certainly enjoy yourself but bad news is it is not by any means cheap. I have read a few who have been recommend the restaurant across the road called the garden which has good reviews. My friend has just returned from Ayia Napa area and recommended Los Banditos which is mexican but serves good food and Limelight I think it was called which does good mixed range of food. Also, Clarabels which is good for steaks and all child friendly.

Have a good time and enjoy your holiday.

Nissi beach can be loud with music playing, go a little further on th Macaronnis beach, which in my opinion beats Fig Tree and Nissi hands down

Hi,

Can you reach this by walking along the beach or by road only?

I drove from Nissi, its only 2 mins, you could mistake this beach for the Caribeaan, not sure about walking. There is the Dome beach hotel and another hotel forgot its name behind Macaronnis. It is well signposted you cant miss it. I think a lot of people just settle for Nissi and dont know about the beach further on.

Hi,

Thanks for this info. Somewhere different to go if Nissi is busy. I have heard of the Dome so will ask at the Hotel for directions.

Thanks again.

Thought I would ask, how a far away is the water park from Nissi? Do we have to get a taxi there?

Water park is only a couple of minutes from Nissi and the buses go right into the car park. Dome Beach Hotel is only just up from Nissi so you wont have any trouble finding it. The water park is a brill day out.

Hi,

Good to know a bus takes you right there. We stayed at Protaras last year and got a taxi there to the water park. Will definately be back this year again as the children loved it. I found looking at them was scary enough so lazy river again for me.

Thanks again.

Have you been this year to Cyprus? If so, did you find a difference in costs for meals out etc?

Hi,

Not going this year, im off to Northumberland at the beginning of August staying at Wooler, ive never been before but plan on a visit Alnwick Castle. I am only back two weeks and off to Skiathos in Greece, i may visit Cyprus in 2009, but ive been so many times its nice to try somewhere different. We stayed in the Alva in Protaras last September. Any tips on Northumberland? I was looking at a day in Edinburgh but i think it is busy as they are having a tram system, correct me if im wrong. I think we can park at Berwick and catch the train.
