Hi Louise18, i stayed in limassol about 4 years ago and i must admit i was not disappointed with the beaches, however i loved pissouri beach %26amp; nissi bay beach, these are a short drive along the coast.
If you hire a car you canfind plenty of other beaches around the coastal roads which are so beautiful.
i loved Cyprus and would definately go back again
have a lovely time

Just thought i%26#39;d but in, sorry. Can anyone tell me is it easy to catch a bus to Ayia Napa? It%26#39;s just my husbands not that interested in hiring a car but i would love to go Nissi beach, i have been there before but not for 10 years.

Hi moffatt,
Where will you be staying?
If you are in Pafos or Limassol, it will be difficult to get to Napa without a car. There is a bus that runs to Larnaca from Limassol then you would have to change onto the Napa bus.It could take the best part of a morning to get there.
Depending on where you are staying, it may be best to hire a car.

Can someone point me in the right direction for Ladys Mile Beach and Governors Beach. I%26#39;ve only briefly visited Limassol on two occasions, mainly just passing through but intend to have a good look round this May. I have eaten at a sea front restaurant which has a resident pelican but the beach was all pebbles and stones and with a view of the dock. What is that called?
|||
Kath,resident pelican is at the top end of Lady%26#39;s mile.Down at the other end is all sand no pebbles.Govenors beach is the other way out of Limassol,5 miles opposite Pentakamo.Nice food at the first taverna,you can use the sunbeds on the lawn at no charge.
Louise18,the weather at the moment is not beach weather and the sea will be cold.I am afraid you will need a car to get to a decent beach,try Curium it is a lovely beach but I do not think the tavernas are open at the moment.

It%26#39;s up to the individual,there are no laws against topless,I think no lower area coverage might raise a few eyebrows,or attract a crowd.

Hi louise18,
There is also Currium beach which has got to be the best in cyprus. 7 miles long %26amp; sand all the wat out untill your feet don%26#39;t touch the seabed

Thanks Leica, I%26#39;ve got my bearings now. Pelican frightened the wits out of me - he was sat outside his enclosure and I thought he was a stone ornament until I got my camera out!
