Paphos or Limassol in early April

Hi

I am planning on booking a holiday to Cyprus in early April and cannot decide whether to stay in Paphos or Limassol. For example does the weather vary in temperature / wind conditions between the two resorts. Is there likely to be more attactions, eateries open in Limassol at this time of year?

If you can offer any feedback please let me know.

Many thanks

Don%26#39;t think there is much to choose between them in that respect. Both very much all year round resorts. We have stayed in Paphos in early April and had mixed weather i.e sunbathing for a couple of hours and needing a jacket at other times of the day. Limassol is usually slightly warmer than Paphos. We were in Limassol in late November early December and managed to get some sun. We stayed in Limassol in May and had hot weather but then when we stayed in Paphos in June the evenings were very chilly. It is really quite difficult to predict. You will find lots of restaurants open in both resorts. If you will be sightseeing and walking it will be a lovely time of year to go.

Thank you for the comments which have been most useful. It seems the weather is quite unsettled across the board. I%26#39;m really looking at heading somewhere warm for the purpose of chilling out and sunbathing coupled with a bit of sight seeing. Perhaps I need to reconsider location?

Thanks again

Hi,

These 2 sites may be of help when researching weather anywhere:

Check out this site. In the middle of the page (History %26amp; Almanac) you can put in any date from 1996 and it will give you the weather on that given day/week/month

http://www.wunderground.com

Weather2Travel.com is also good %26amp; can tell you humidity, hrs of sunshine etc.

Hiya,

Cyprus is located at the eastern end of the Med and the junction of three Continents, Europe, Asia and Africa.

For warmer, less unsettled weather in April, you would have to look at the Carribean, SE Asia, Dubai or Red Sea anywher in the Southern Hemisphere.

Cannaries or central Med (Balearics %26amp; Malta) are no warmer than Cyprus at any time of the year.

As mentioned previously, www.wunderground.com is a good starter to check avergae seasonal temperatu4res and rainfall. However, Cyprus has been suffering a drought for the past 4 years and would love to have some additional rainfall.

Good luck,

Stewart
