Papantonia

Hi iam going to the papantonia in august can anyone tell me any good things about the papantonia . Ive read very mixed reviews .If any one is going there from the 9/8 onwards might see you there

Hiya sav4. Went to papatonia 2 years ago it was fine. going back there on 4th june so i will let you know more then. watch this space!. I believe a holiday is what you make of it, dont forget other people likes and dislikes differ. HAVE A GOOD TIME.

SAV4 we went to the papantonia last may and had a great time. To be honest I think some people moan about the slightest thing.Some of the reviews say about bad ear problems, there was none of that with anyone whilst we were there. Some people moaned about the corridor carpets being bleached! Why let a corridor carpet being bleached upset your holiday. I can%26#39;t say anything about the food as we were self catering but I can say it is quite expensive to eat out in Cyprus. We have been to Cyprus 5 times and we love it.

We went to the Papantonia in oct 06 and didnt like it. We went with an open mind, 2 kids, mother in law etc so real mix of ages. Very basic ! It really is a case of what you fancy but wasnt for us. Rooms v.small and had to empty contents of kitchen draws to put clothes away, entertainment bit like what you would find at Butlins. Food very basic and lots of people had upset tums. We paid £1000 to be moved after our second night. On a positive, it is in a good location near beach and the pool areas are really good. Would rate it more a 2 *. After all said and done, you may go and have a fab time it just wasnt for us !

I have just returned from the Papantonia last Sunday, had a great holiday.

Hotel rooms were kept spotless by the maids, who called 5/6 times a week!!! We were self catering, but upgraded to all inclusive for 3 days (30 euros per adult, 16 per child and 12 per infant per day), but I have to admit I couldn%26#39;t wait for the 3 days to be up, Breakfast was fine, but the lunches and dinners in the restaurant were not up to much, the snack bar closed for food whilst the restaurant was open (12.00 -3.00, and 6.00 onwards, which I thought was poor. Price for beer in hotel was 3 euros, as were kids ice lollies (rip off) If you are all inclusive you only get a little tub of local ice cream for the kids, NO ice lollies.

The reps are good with the kids, but as for adult entertainment................ cringe-worthy.

You are a bit cut off from decent nightlife, there are some bars close by, but as the hotels in the area seem to be all inclusive, the bars are VERY quiet. Its about a 30 minute walk into Protaras and 10 minutes into Pernera. Also the beach near to the Pap is poor, better going to Fig Tree Bay, 7 euro in a taxi, or Pernera beach, 5 min walk.

Hi ya went to the papatonia end of june-beg july and had a fantastic time. It was relaxing and a very friendly atmosphere. The rooms basic but clean. The food was nice, some days a bit the same but you could order from the menu between 3 and 5.30 which was lovely. The reps kept you entertained and worked very hard, some evenings was not all that but you would sit yourself at the bar or go out. I have a 2 and 7 year old and they both had a great time for 2weeks, though my son properly spent about 20euros a day on the machine. A walk to protaros itself only took 15mins, and the bus to Ayia Napa cost us 3euros for 4 of us. I meet lots of friendly people there because its a small hotel everyone seemed to get on. Overall I had a very relaxing and enjoyable time
