Money Exchange and Scooter Hire - please help

Hi guys

we are off to Paphos on the 16th for 12 days. staying at Kato Paphos self catering. can someone please tell me what is the exchange rate for £ to Euro in paphos? Is it better to exchange in UK? Or even take my card and withdraw money as needed. What would be the best option? Also are the Cash Maschines available everywhere?

Also does anyone know how much does it cost to rent a scooter per day? Also if you have any recommodation for scooter renting companies?

Hi,

Just returned fron paphos on sunday, got some sterling changed on saturday got 1.28 Euros to the pound at exchange place (betting shop) opposite the Alexander Hotel this was the best rate we found hope this helps

Just a quick one on scooter hire. I am sure you are responsible and have heard all of the horror stories.

I see these things on a daily basis, yesterday I saw a young man lying in the road minus one arm who had come off a scooter. They are poorly maintained, genrall have bald tires and are genrally seen by the local population as a nuisance, hence the locals tend to ignore them when driving.Be very careful and make sure your helmet fits and it is kite marked.

Not at all, thank you so much for being caring. I havent even thought about scooters that way. I just thought it woul be fun to rent one as we coul get everywhere locally without having to rent a car. But might just do that.... rent a car... as I know that there are not many beaches around in Paphos itself. Thanks for your help.

ann19, did you exchange pounds in cash when you were there or travelers cheques, im going next saturday and was going to get them exchanged here but after reading the rate you got, thats much better, did they charge you anything to change it over.

It was cash, we used this place last year as well give the best rates.

thanks ann19, im going to nissi bay but will apply the same principal in changing my money over there instead, if it makes my money go further all the better.
