WHere to stay in Larnaca

Hi, needed some help please!

I am going to Beirut in August but stop over in Larnaca for 2 days. This will be my first time there and there is a party of 5 of us.

We are all really clueless about the best area in Larnaca to get a hotel and perhap which hotel. Ideally we were looking for a 2 bedroom apartment that can cater for 5 people. Alternatively it will have to be a hotel with 2 rooms.

Can anyone:

1) First advise what area to stay in (we would like to be on the beach front and near plenty of restuarants)

2) Can someone advise the best hotels/apartments to stay in?

We would really really appreciate your advice on this! Thanks.

McKenzie Beach is a good place to stay as there are hotel apts, I have heard Flamingo Beach apts are good

and the beach is opposite

Larnaca airport is only five minutes drive away

If you choose to stay at Flamingo the best restaurant nearby is Zefiros fish restaurant,the only drawback to staying there is the constant aircraft noise. There is a lovely beach opposite though.Another good place to stay is Livadiotis Apartments Hotel, it is not on the beach but about 100 meters away ,this right in the centre of Larnaca with all sights within walking distance ,near here almost opposite is the La Veranda restaurant which has a good reputation.
