mayfair apartments!good or bad?!!!!!!

hiya,

we are staying here and after reading the reviews just don%26#39;t know what to expect!!!!!!as with anywhere some reviews r good some bad!!but im really concerned with the bad ones as they are pretty bad,not just the usual moaning for no reason!!!these were;cockroaches in rooms,muggings in hotel,lots of room thefts and not in a nice area!!!

the more recent reviews ive read seem more positive!!so im hoping these are the most realistic ones!!!!!maybe its been taken over by new managment who knows?!!!!!!!!

also does anybody know how far away it is from the athena beachhotel please?

Friends of ours stayed there about 4 years ago, so can%26#39;t help with up-to-date info, but I know they enjoyed their stay.

We are staying at the Mayfair from the 21st June. We have stayed there before albeit 5 years ago and we never had any problems, so we are hoping for the same again although you are right some of the reviews are quite worrying.

We had no probs with the staff and the entertainment team were very good. The area itself is not fantastic but wasn%26#39;t that bad really. it was very safe at the time so was disturbed to hear that you have heard of room thefts and muggings!!!! lets hope that was exaggeration by somebody!

My cousin and his girlfriend were there 3 weeks ago in a party of 10 for a wedding - they enjoyed it and said it was fine, food good, rooms nice etc

I saw it in March when I was in Paphos and the whole complex was closed for refurbishment, I was worried it may not be ready for when they arrived in mid May but all was ok.

Its a good 25 mins walk to the Athena Beach - best get the bus outside the big supermarket (on the main road over the back of the Mayfair)

Hiya

I have stayed at the Mayfair all be it 4 years ago and found everything great, we have booked to go again this year in August, my parents have just returned from there last week and say everything great but have advised us to upgrade to all inclusive as the prices of drink have gone up a lot, but they said that everyone staying there were raving that the food was excellent. I%26#39;m not sure where the other hotel you on about is but from the mayfair id say its about a 10 min walk to the harbour
