arranging flights, can anyone help please?

hi,

we are getting married in peyia august 7th 2009, we%26#39;ve found a villa we love but are struggling for flights. Our holiday dates are sun 2nd aug to sun 16th, 2 weeks.

A lot of the searches dont go that far ahead, and when they do they are expensive.

I%26#39;ve tried xl.com and a few others.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

Or can you recommend where to search?

Hi Pauline. We rent private apartments every year in Paphos. Most charter company%26#39;s dont release flights until February or March so dont panic. We tend to fly with Thomas Cook from Newcastle as the flight times are great but all charter company%26#39;s are very much the same. There are loads of websites that you can book with but most tend to add a slice onth the price for themselves therefore I tend to book direct with the charter company over the internet. Not had a problem in 6 years.

I%26#39;m going to book the villa tomorrow, so is it not too risky to leave it a while before we book flights?

I%26#39;m just a bit worried if we dont get flights soon we might not get the right dates nearer the time.

Its our first time renting a villa,

Try Cyprus Airways as they had my scheduled flights on 10 months in advance. I also looked on travel republic who were offering them with other providers this far in advance. One word of warning though, booking that far in advance can mean that your flight time changes by the time you come to travel!!!

there were several decent flights on travel republic ranging from £322-£479,

cyprus airways didnt go as far as aug 09 yet but thanks anyway,

Call Cyprus Airways in London. Ask for the release dates of the 2009 timetable, I believe it is October 2008. You should find the first 60 seats start at £210-£240.

Hi Pauline my daughter is always checking flights to Paphos and she suggests that you try Flighline, Freedom Direct and Sunmaster. I hope you have a lovely wedding and iti is certainly a beautiful place. We are going at the end of September for two weeks for my 70th birthday.

I bought and paid for my flights in full last November and haven%26#39;t as yet (and I go in 2 weeks) been asked for extra because of fuel increases. There were rumours of people being requested to pay extra at check in but the person concerned told them where to go, which is exactly what I will do!!!! Seen as how they have had over £1000 of my money for four flights since November they can take it out of any interest they will have earned on it!!!

I%26#39;ll let you know if anything like this happened on my return!!

I emailed cyprus airways, they said you can book 330 days in advance, however on the website you can only search dates to the end of june!
