taxi and car-hire

does anyone know how much it would cost for a taxi to the centre of paphos and any recomendations for a car-hire in paphos.

Can%26#39;t help with the price of a taxi but if you%26#39;re after cheap and cheerfull car hire try %26#39;Chris holiday%26#39; rentals, he has 3 offices around Paphos. It%26#39;s not new top of the range stuff but it%26#39;s cheap and cheerful. We have just returned home, I hired a Suzuki Alto with air-con, OK it had 62k on the clock and had a few scratches but I didn%26#39;t see anyone I knew so didn%26#39;t lose my street cred!!

Anyway the important bit is is only cost 24 euros a day for 4 days, No insurance excess etc. It got us to the top of the Trodos and along the motorway to Nicosia. He only deals in cash though, no credit cards, will deliver to your hotel

hi just back hired a car from savas carhire 200 euro for the week. meet us at the airport then we left it off there.first class service

DO NOT - hire a car using Thomson /First Choice - ours was £500 for 10 days

I have just got back from Paphos and hired a car from Economy car rentals. very reasonable car prices example Ford Focus, A/C plus CDW and insurance approx £156.00 pw.

I%26#39;m sure they are not the cheapest but I did my homework and quite a few said that Savvas of Houlos car rental provides good cars and a quality service. I%26#39;m getting a Honda Jazz 1.4 with air con etc. for 14 days and its 480 euros including all insurances with no excesses whatsoever. His e-mail address is info@carrentalcyprus.co.uk and tel.00357-99359213.

He will wait for us at the airport and make sure everything is OK when we pick the car up. Pay by credit card or cash on arrival - no need to send deposit. My wife is named as second driver without any extra cost.

Tell him Mike recomended him.

hi,i agree that you should not book your car through travel company or rep(too exspensive),we have used elephant car hire(on internet)very good rates,no extras all insurance included,and you book via e-mail and pay when you pick up at airport.we have used them 3 times now and no problems(even left key in car when flight delayed and payed later),recomended,regards mike

I have paid £64 return for a taxi from Paphos airport to Coral Bay which is probably twice the distance you require, so this may give you an idea. I booked through A2Btransfers on the web. They will give you a price for central Paphos too.

As regards car hire, I have booked a car for 19 days, a saxo or something similar and am paying £370 including CDW, Waiver insurance and two drivers and collection and delivery from our hotal in Coral Bay. I think I booked through Auto Europe or Europe 3000 on the web. If you need to know the exact website let me know and I%26#39;ll rake the paperwork out of the pile!! I thought £370 was resonable and they included a lot ot things that other hirers omitted. We%26#39;ll see whether they are any good when the car turns up!!!
