We have booked in at the Bellapaise Monastery Village at the beggining of September for some rest and relaxation, but I think by the second week we may be ready to venture out, as it is quite isolated we will obviously need a car, as I dont want to pre book as I have no idea how long it will be before relaxation becomes too much!! is it possible to just take a taxi to Kyrenia and pick on up on the day, if so does anyone know names of decent hire company. Also as there is no competion near the hotel are the drinks etc charged at a premium? any advice would be grateful Thanks

Yes you can take a taxi into Kyrenia and pick up a hire car on the day assuming there is availability. Or you could call Bird Rent a Car and they will deliver one to you. We have always used them and they are very reliable and a lovely friendly family who will do anything for you. They speak very good English so you won%26#39;t have a problem. Telephone number 0932 822 2379 (if calling from UK mobile 0090 932 822 2379 www.birdrentacar.com) You could perhaps email them in advance of your holiday and let them know that you will call them when you want the car delivered.
I think you will find the bar prices at BMV to be similar to any hotel. It isn%26#39;t that isolated and you can walk down the road to a couple of bars and restaurants.
Lovely breakfasts at BMV by the way!

Try www.bellapaisrental.com. We have used them a couple of times and no probs, also right in the centre of the village. Ask about transfers from airport ( Ercan is a free one to customers ).
