I am living in Istanbul and would like to travel to Beirut via Cyprus this summer. I am wondering if I were to fly into North Cyprus, could I travel down to %26quot;south%26quot; Cyprus and on to Beirut and back without problems? I had heard a few years ago that travel across the border between north and south Cyprus was limited (one had to be back on the side they started from by dark or something like that). Is this still the case? I am hoping to fly from Larnaca to Beirut for a week before returning to Larnaca and flying back to Istanbul from North Cyprus again.
Also, I know there was once a ferry from Cyprus to Lebanon. Does it still exist?

I can%26#39;t help thinking you need some more in-depth advice than what you will find on here. However, the regulations about crossing the border are far more relaxed these days than they were 4 or 5 years ago.
Although there are no limitations on crossing the border between north and south Cyprus, you may find that the border guards take an interest in your passport and you may have to explain your travel history to them.
