Hi I am renting a villa in Droushia (Drouseia)near Latchi and Polis. Does anyone know it? Apparently a small village which is perect, just what we%26#39;re looking for. Anyone know it or anything about it. Tavernas, prices etc.
Also this is our first time to Cyprus. So there will loads of questions coming over the next few weeks. Patience please!!!
Meze....What is it? How much is it? How is it pronounced? Thanks folks.

I know Drousia well , you have picked a lovely village with fantastic views!I know of one tavern in the village owned by Hambis called Sathmos (near church).I dont know when you are visiting, in August there is a long festival with concerts ,plays etc. There is a small Museum there run by Marianna worth looking at. Nearby at a place called Kathikas there is a tavern called Kiparissos which serves excellent food(dont be put off by grumpy owner ).The fish taverns at Latsi can be overpriced so be careful.Another thing the temperature up there in the evenings drops dramaticaly so a jacket comes in handy.

Thanks carivaggiO. thats most helpful especially the jacket thing. I hate to be cold. I%26#39;ll make sure to take a couple of cardies.

Bumping this up in the hope others will add to it! Any suggestions for close by must see%26#39;s and do%26#39;s.

While you%26#39;re there, go into Polis - nice centre with tavernas in traffic free area. Also, if you have a car, go up to Pomos - taverna overlooking small harbour and little beach. Neo Choria (with car) little village, taverna or two and lovely views. Fish tavernas can be expensive in Latchi, but nice place to sit and watch the world go by at the harbour. Lovely beachfront walk all along coast. Don%26#39;t bother with Aphrodite%26#39;s Bath - nice area but overrated - depends when you are going but can be crowded. Find a village taverna where prices are much cheaper and enjoy Cyprus !!!
