Cash machines

Hi All

I%26#39;m going with my hubby and 3 kids to the Elia Latchi Village hotel in October of this year and was wondering if anyone knows whether there are cash machines in either the hotel or Latchi itself?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi there. My husband and I have stayed in Latchi and yes there is a bank with an atm cash machine there, and we have used the machine and been into the bank to draw out money and also just up the road there is Polis and they have around 3/4 cash machines that we use instead of taking cash. You will so enjoy Latchi it is beautiful and if you get the chance go to Polis and eat in the square very nice.Anything else let me know as we know that area quite well.

Hi

Thanks to both of you for replying. I also wanted to ask regarding getting to Polis are there bus services to get there and what sort of price is it? Do they run frequently? I%26#39;ve heard that the beach isn%26#39;t sandy, is this true as mt kids love making sandcastles although from what the brochure says there%26#39;s plenty to keep them occupied at the Elia Latchi Village hotel. Can you recommend any good restaurants in Latchi? we are all inclusive but would like to try a local restaurant.

Any other info that you think would be useful would be greatfully received.

Thanks

There isnt a local bus service - the bus from Paphos runs through Polis and then Latchi but its only one or two per day. It is only a few euros by taxi or you can walk along the beach from Latchi - there is a proper path for most of the way - which brings you out near the campsite at Polis- this is a fairly sandy beach backed by pine trees. To get into the square from the beach it is about a 15 minute walk - here you can get a taxi back. The beaches in the area are not the best -there is usually a bit where the kids can dig. The sea in October should be great for swimming though.

Hi Chrissie

Thanks again for your great tips and info, we%26#39;ll probably try the taxi route as our kids are 4 and 7 so will probably moan at the walk!!!

Are there any restaurants that you can recommend? Sorry to keep askking so many questions but I%26#39;m really excited about this holiday as it%26#39;s our first time going to Cyprus. It%26#39;s really nice to read tips from others who have been there, I%26#39;ve done the same on the Menorca forum as I%26#39;ve been there a few times!

Cant say we had a bad meal in Latchi- but cannot remember a memorable one either !! Sorry-its a couple of years since we stayed there. However, all the harbourside restaurants have their menus displayed outside on boards so if you have a walk along during the day and look at the boats you can have a look at their menus and see if anything suits.

One word of warning to any visitors - last time we were stopped in Latchi by a young woman who said she was from the Cyprus Tourist Board conducting a survey. It became clear after a while that it was the old time share scratch card trick -obviously migrated from Paphos ! If anyone stops and tries it on - just tell them you live there !!!!
