Amore Apartments, Protaras

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has stayed at or near these apartments? I have stayed in Protaras before but always on Fig Tree Bay, I know the amore are some way out but is it realistic to walk? how long does it take on the bus to protaras centre? any info would be greatly apreciated!

Hi Oakley,

I think that the Amore are situated in Kapparis, which is between Protaras and Paralimni. I would suggest that is a bit far to walk, having said that, it shouldn%26#39;t be any more than 15-20 minutes on the bus.

I%26#39;m sure that someone else on the forum, will be able to give you more accurate information.

Too far too walk - the Amore is situated in Kapparis. Some decent reviews on TripAdvisor. There are local buses which run (or should run) every half hour %26amp; taxis. Would take about 10/15 minutes on the bus. There are some nice little bays though around Kapparis which is altogether much quieter than the centre of Protaras. Kapparis is referred to as little England because of the number of ex pats now living there.

Yes, the Amore is in Kapparis, about five miles from Fig Tree Bay.

See the tourist map: http://tinyurl.com/6pvcrd (Amore is no.50 in A1, Fig Tree is in F7)

The bus does not pass the hotel. You%26#39;d need to walk down to the roundabout in B3 for the bus to Paralimni, Protaras and Ayia Napa, which could take 15 mins strolling in the heat.

Kapparis has several bars and restaurants - see my Google map at http://tinyurl.com/6gplvf - but remember the satellite image is dated 2003.

Thanks for all the info - really helpful! we are booked up to go at the end of august for 2 weeks, theres four of us going so hopefully taxis into protaras and ayia napa at night wont be too much between us? besides for the price we have paid compared to staying at fig tree bay we cant complain!

The Amore look fine and the reviews are OK. Going to have a look at them myself later this year with a view to next year - they are certainly in a nice area. Not sure however what taxis would cost as fuel prices have increased and taxi drivers are a law unto themselves but I%26#39;m sure the owners of the Amore will be able to book something for you and if you use the same taxi company on a regular basis you may be able to negotiate a discount. Generally its about 10 -12 euros from Pernera into Ayia Napa but of course Kapparis you have to add another 4 miles on top of that.
