exchange rates in cyprus

Is it best to take euros to cyprus or take sterling and exchange to euros when you are there ?

Hi Have just returned from Protaras and personally i would take sterling and change it to euros when you are there.

just come back and the rate to change sterling to euros was 1.26 , so i would go for sterling

Its true you might get the exchange rate of 1.26 instead of the 1.22 in Marks and Spencers - wow thats 40 E on £1000 pounds - you will have no money when you first arrive and will have to chase around looking for the best rate before you can even have a beer

Just got back yesterday, the rates I saw in paphos area where 1.21.

WWW.moneycorp.com are giving 1.26 and deliver it to you before you go.
