Hi there
I%26#39;m returning to Paphos in a few weeks time- was last there 2 years ago. Looking for recommendations of good family pubs %26amp; restaurants in %26amp; around the harbour area %26amp; also Kato paphos?
I%26#39;ve tried the Pelican restaurant which i felt was a 3.5 out of 5 %26amp; also the Mandarin Chinese restaurant which i would give a 4 out of 5 in the harbour,,, %26amp; of course have visited Fat Mama in Kato Paphos- huge food %26amp; good family fun
Any suggestions welcome %26amp; also any places to avoid too!
Cheers T8

Hiya,
Try Melania on the Tombs of the Kings Road - very traditional taverna - not much to look at but the food is wonderful.
Also, try Sienna, next to the Azia Hotel. A little more expensive but you fantastic service.
If you do not mind driving, head out top Katikas, beyond Peyia and try the Farmyard.
Browse www.paphos-eating.com for more information about reatuarnts in the the region.
Good Luck

Big one to avoid is the Poseidonas at the harbour! We thought the setting was fantastic with a roof terrace overlooking harbour and was looking for great fish meals. Unfortunately mine and my hubs swordfish was very similar to my sons chicken kebab - very tough and overcooked! My jacket potato was brown inside giving away the fact that it was reheated from yesterday or whenever! And the veg was tinned peas, carrots, sweetcorn and green beans mixed!! Absolutely lousy! Had we been in Uk it would have been a complaint job but too awkward to contemplate that abroad! The Colosseum restaurant near hotel veronica (not sure of rd) was totally different to our other experiences all week. Very unhurried. Great service and food. And the bonus of some easy listening with the Elton John tribute guy. A wonderful last night in Cyprus.

Can%26#39;t agree more with the above post, The Collesseum is among the best restaurants in Paphos, brilliant Italian meal and great service, not the cheapest but you get what you pay for

It was the atmosphere that did it for us! All week at every other restaurant we had our plates taken away from us within seconds of finishing with them but at the Colosseum they didn%26#39;t mind us taking our time and waiting till we asked for our desserts so we could enjoy the music. Can%26#39;t praise it enough and their wine recommendation was spot on too.

Thanks to all for the feedback...much appreciated!
