which beach is best? Honest replies wanted

Can anyone tell me which beach is biigest, the one at Four seasons Limassol or the one at Le Meridien. I like to sunbathe by the sea on a beach. Brochure shows a big beach at the Four seasons, but can%26#39;t see much about the size of the beach at the Lew Meridien.

Need to know before I book as this is will make my mind up about the which hotel

Hi mintymo

You could also go to the best beach on the Island just outside Limassol just off the motorway to Paphos called Currium Beach, 7 miles long of sandy beach and sand going out untill your feet don%26#39;t touch the sea bed

Honest answer, the beaches in Limassol are rubbish.The sand is not golden but rather dark, not the cleanest and can be very busy in peak periods.

Curium beach, Ladies Mile are regarded as the best beaches in the Limassol area. They are both some distance from town.

If you just want to be near the sea and are not bothered about dark course sand and unkempt surroundings, the Four Seasons is the better of the two.

I was wondering this as well. I%26#39;ll be in Limassol in a few weeks and saw photos of Ayia Napa, would that be too far of a journey to try to go to that beach for the day? What%26#39;s the best way to get there and how long would it take?

We are stopping here for the day on a cruise stop from 7 am to 5 pm and want to make it a beach day.

Let me know if I%26#39;m overshooting it.

soccrspz,

I think you are overstretching a bit.Ayia Napa certainly has far better beaches but it will take at least 2 and a half to 3 hours each way leaving little time to enjoy yourself.Personally i would stick to Ladies Mile which would be less than half an hour by taxi from the harbour.There are ample Tavernas spread out along the beach which goes on for a good few miles and never over busy.

Limassol%26#39;s beaches are ok. Of course if you want to enjoy exceptional views and crystal clear waters you have to visit Agia Napa or Protaras. The trip from Limassol to Agia Napa will take no longer than 1:30 hours and I think is worthing it.

|||

How do you recommend getting there? bus or taxi, how much would each cost?

|||

I certainly would not expect to do the Ayia Napa trip in 90 minutes as its 107kms.With getting out of Limassol and skirting Larnaca you%26#39;d have to be going very very fast and hit no traffic.And the last thing you%26#39;d like to do is miss your departure from Limassol as Cruise Ships are not known for hanging around waiting for passengers.

|||

What would you recommend as the best beach to go to for the day, one that has the best overall atmosphere and water?

|||

If you%26#39;re talking about Limassol like i said earlier it%26#39;s gotta be Ladies Mile,very quiet though.If you%26#39;re talking about Ayia Napa go for Nissi Beach which is a lovely place with plenty of atmosphere and wonderful water.It%26#39;s totally your choice but i still think it might be a bit of a a trek there and back to get to Ayia Napa.If you do decide on Ayia Napa look at hiring a car for the day as it will be an awful lot cheaper than a taxi.And forget a bus as as far as i know if you could get one you would have to change in Larnaca.

Quick Question. Don%26#39;t the cruise company run any beach trips whilst you are in Cyprus?

|||

I have no clue, I%26#39;m going on Monarch Classic Cruises Blue Monarch ship and they have limited information on the excursions they have, I assume they will have more options once on board, but until then they only show tours of the island, we are going to so many places I was just wanting Cyprus to be a place to have a beach day.

Here%26#39;s the company and the itinerary, let me know if you have any other suggestions, and thank you for your help thus far.
