Best Place to stay in Cyprus?

Hi everyone,

I am looking to book a weeks holiday in Cyprus at the beginning of October for myself and partner. We are both over 40 and are interested in seeing the sights etc, more than a beach holiday.

Can people recommend the best areas to stay and good hotels or apartments? Also what sort of weather should we expect at the beginning of October?

I will probably book through a tour operator, to be sure of transfers and arranging trips etc.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

My suggestions would be Athena Royal, Athena Beach, Imperial, Amathus, Avanti, depending on your budget. They are served by nice restaurants/bars and buses but also within walking distance of the harbour. Here%26#39;s a map showing the location:

By the way, you%26#39;ll be able to get cheaper trips with a booking agent (and there%26#39;s loads to chose from) rather than your holiday rep.

The weather at the beginning of October should be lovely and ideal if you intend seeing the sights.

Hope you find something you like.

Doh!!!! Just read your post again and you did say Cyprus, not Paphos. Sorry if I%26#39;ve confused.

Thanks for your suggestions. It seems from what I%26#39;ve read in other posts that Paphos would be the best place for us to stay.

Thank you for suggesting these hotels, that is most helpful.

Any other tips/advice gratefully received.

Many thanks

Karen
