Hi my husband and I got married at the Chapel by St Pauls Pillar in 1998 - it was absolutely lovely. We are going back to Paphos again (this weekend actually) as its our 10th wedding anniversary this year and hope to visit the church again. I would recommend it.

do you have to wear a hat?

|||

Hi again, when we got married there 10 years ago there was only my husband, me and 2 witnesses there (and the priest of course). One of my witnesses (the wedding planner with the holiday company) was a woman and she didnt wear a hat so I dont think it is compulsory. I would check though in case things have changed.

Not sure where the hotel is where you are stopping in as we were at the Paphos Amathus.

Have a lovely wedding.

It is a lovely setting - nice intimate space inside the church. A few trees scattered around the churchyard area so the guests can get some shade ! The wedding we attended there was early October at 3pm - it was very hot - the guys in waistcoats etc were rather warm to say the least ! The church was cool tho and the reception at the hotel was in an air con room.

Hello ,

returned early this morning from a 2 week stay in Paphos . We got married in St Pauls Pillar Friday 27th and can highly reccommend it . It is a beautiful place the setting is perfect . There were 30 guests at our wedding and each said they had never seen such a relaxed yet intimate ceremony . There was no specific dress code although you obviously would dress respectively as it is a place of worship.

Can honestly say it was the best decision ever to get married in Paphos , such a beautiful place and very friendly people .

We had a reception in Romanticas and this was another great choice. Bambos and his staff looked after us so well , we returned for a birthday celebration on Sunday evening .

Hope you find out soon where your wedding will be . Good luck with your planning .

alanna
