Princess, that exchange rate is working out at about 1.23 to the pound. That doesn%26#39;t sound too bad to me.

Don%26#39;tget too hung up over it and change your money where it is the most convenient to you.

Let%26#39;s put it into perspective. If you exchange somewhere at 1.21 you will get 363 euros for your £300. If you get a really good rate of 1.25 somewhere you will get 375 euros. There is so little in it that it is not even worth thinking about. The difference won%26#39;t even buy you a Pina Colada in Cyprus!

Hi guys.

From what I understand, It pays not to use debit cards as you get double charging on costs from most Banks and Building Societies. Its better to use a credit card and CLEAR IT ALL OFF when yo get the bill! or get your currency at the post office or similar where they dont charge commission. However watch out for the rate as they tend to get you one way or the other.

Some credit cards dont charge anything for use abroad - Nationwide and Post Office come to mind.

There was a bloke on GMTV giving lots of advice a week or so ago and if you check their website, there may be an article on this.

Another tip was to use a local chip for your mobile whilst there as it works out much cheaper making calls - I%26#39;m not techie enough to understand how this works but maybe a local does.

Have a great holiday and dont forget to have a written conversion in your pocket to know how much 10 euros is etc. Its amazing how the brain siezes up after an afternoon of sun %26amp; bevy.
